Texas’ Top Specialty License Plate Designs for 2022, Ranked

If you have "general issue" license plates on your vehicle—the ones that come free with its registration—you get a plain white plate with TEXAS on top and a number randomly assigned by the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles.
But it's still kinda dull. And many people prefer to pay extra for plates with more oomph, pizzazz, and personal expression. To handle these orders, TxDMV partners with MyPlates.com, which just announced the top-selling "specialty license plate" designs for 2022.

The tower is the second-tallest in Dallas and was designed by noted architect Philip Johnson and his partner John Burgee. Jonas Woods' Pacific Elm Properties recently took majority ownership of the building, and plans to convert 20 floors into apartments and a luxury hotel, according to the Dallas Morning News.
“We believe a mixed-use tower is much more likely to be successful today than a more than one million-square-foot office tower,” Woods told the DMN.

Frisco Developer Announces New 150-Acre Residential Community in Celina

Rockhill Capital & Investments announced it has begun construction on The Ranch at Uptown Celina, a community that will feature more than 450 homes by Taylor Morrison and Toll Brothers just north of downtown Celina.
“People are drawn to Celina for its sense of community—and the historic downtown square is a huge part of that,” said Ryan Griffin, principal at Rockhill Capital & Investments. “Uptown Celina will be an extension of downtown, offering ‘backyard’ access via its trails."

RentCafe said that while the number of high-income renters in Dallas rose by 74% and sits at 6% of the city's total renters between 2015 and 2020—peaking at 17,257— he number of high-income renters rose even more dramatically in other North Texas cities. Garland saw a rise of 198%, McKinney 186%, Plano 103%, and Frisco 93%.
High-income renters in Frisco may look into places like the luxury Remy apartments (above), coming to Frisco Square in 2024.

On Saturday, February 4, the Drone Racing League will take off in a live audience event at Esports Stadium Arlington. “The world’s 12 best drone pilots” will battle it out at the SIM Live! event, racing through the virtual Skyscraper Circuit map on the DRL SIM, a drone racing simulator video game.
“DRL is the defining sport of the 21st century, challenging the status quo of other major properties,” CMO Anne Marie Gianutsos said. “We meet fans where they are and give them what they want—high-tech and high-speed competition across real-life racing, esports, and the metaverse.”
