Dallas-Based Ameriflight Plans to Buy 35 Autonomous Air Cargo Drones With ‘Record-Breaking’ Payload Capacity

Ameriflight—the nation's largest Part 135 Cargo airline—announced signing a letter of intent to purchase 35 VTOL air cargo drones from California's Sabrewing Aircraft Company. Just last month, Ameriflight signed with Natilus on the purchase of 20 autonomous Kona aircraft, which can carry payloads up to 3.8 tons without a crew.

After DFW median home prices spiked to $429,000 around the middle of 2022, they fell down to earth a bit in the year's second half, dropping to $385,000 according to data from the Texas Real Estate Research Center. Realtor Joe Atkins told WFAA that has led to renewed interest lately—a sign that a cooled Dallas home sales market could be heating up again as interest rates have begun to dip too.

The new jobs will be 37% client-facing hires and 26% technology hires, Fidelity said. The company's headcount in Texas at the end of 2022 was 9,044 employees, with more than 6,000 working at its two-building campus in Westlake, home to more than 30 Fidelity business units. “We take a long-term view to investing in our overall workforce and our people, just as we do in our businesses,” Fidelity's Kirsten Kuykendoll said.
