Skydance produced the hit movie “Air,” directed by Ben Affleck and starring Affleck, Matt Damon and Viola Davis, about the birth of the Air Jordan Brand. With "Jerrah" as the star of its new project, Skydance aims to mine "never before seen content" from the NFL Films vaults to reveal the Dallas Cowboys owner like never before.

Dallas International Film Festival’s Screenwriting Competition Is Named Among the Best

Of the thousands of film festivals competing for titles and audiences, hundreds hold screenplay competitions, looking for scripts that could be the next "Good Will Hunting," "Moonlight," or—hey, why not—"Star Wars." This year, for the first time, the Dallas International Film Festival was named among the best. MovieMaker Magazine just named "15 Submission-Worthy Screenwriting Competitions" and DIFF made the cut.

In February, the Dallas Museum of Art launched a “Reimagining the Dallas Museum of Art International Design Competition" for a major expansion that will add flexible gallery spaces, reorganized entrances and circulation, and a reapportioned interior.  The museum received 154 design submissions from all over the world. On Thursday, the DMA announced that it has selected six finalists.

The ‘Eye’ in Downtown Dallas Gets an ‘EYEboretum’ Makeover for the Dallas Art Fair

The "Eye," a sculpture by Chicago-based artist Tony Tasset, already provides an eye-popping attraction in the sculpture garden across the street from The Joule Hotel on Main Street in downtown Dallas. But in honor of the Dallas Art Fair, which runs today through Sunday in the Dallas Arts District, the "Eye" has gotten its own artsy treatment. The lawn around the sculpture has been filled with surreal editions including solar-powered butterflies, giant mushrooms, lemons, corn cobs, pineapples, and flowers with eyeball centers.

UT Dallas, DMA Announce Partnership Celebrating Opening of New Athenaeum in Fall 2024

The unveiling of Phase I of the O'Donnell Athenaeum, designed by Morphosis Architects, will debut the first of three buildings in the new 12-acre cultural complex at UT Dallas. “I'm thrilled to welcome some of the finest works of art in our city to the new campus museum," said UTD President Richard C.
