‘Ben and Skin’-Co‑Founded Rollertown Beerworks Breaks Ground in Frisco

You may have heard them on the radio. Come June 2025, you can drink their beer, stroll their lawn, chill on their patio, and check out the stage at Ben Rogers and Jeff "Skin" Wade's Rollertown Beerworks brewery and HQ in Frisco.

Ben Rogers and Jeff “Skin” Wade have been pals since they met as 12-year-olds in Richardson. They’ve been hosting radio shows in Dallas-Fort Worth since 2001. But it took until Friday for them to finally broke ground on their Rollertown Beerworks craft brewery and HQ in Frisco.

What took them so long? Well, they’ve been busy doing the “Ben and Skin Show” weekdays on 97.1 “The Freak.” And the duo debuted their first Rollertown Beerworks brewery in Celina a mere four years ago, in that fun, beer-swilling month of March 2020. But there’s a time and a beer for everything, so Friday was their big ground-breaker.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to be planting our flag in what is consistently recognized as one of the finest cities in the country,” Rollertown Beerworks CEO Jonathan Rogers (Ben’s brother and the third co-founder) said in a statement. “To join the family of companies based in Frisco that includes the Dallas Cowboys, the Dallas Stars, the Frisco Roughriders, the PGA of America, and Keurig Dr Pepper among many others is a true honor.”

Located at the corner of Main Street and John W. Elliot Drive in Frisco near Toyota Stadium, Rollertown Beerworks will offer a two-story taproom, a live performance stage, a 4,000-plus-square-foot outdoor beer garden, and a sprawling great lawn. Beer aside, the venue aims to be both kid- and dog-friendly.

Supporting local artists, creators, musicians, and more

“This new Rollertown HQ will serve as the cultural center of the brand and will propagate the Rollertown Dream—that every person has the power to ‘shoot their shot,'” the team says on the company’s website.

“This hub will facilitate community engagement & enrichment while providing opportunities for like-minded folks by supporting local artists, creators, musicians, distillers, wine makers, home brewers, and chefs, to name a few,” the team added. “This new destination will be an inviting place for families, dogs, and beer nerds alike…a melting pot of diverse personalities, a catalyst for entrepreneurship, and a springboard for opportunity with unmatched hospitality and world-class beer.”

Fulfilled Frisco’s vision for city-owned ‘silo tract’ location

In November 2022, Rollertown Beerworks announced a public-private partnership with the city of Frisco, the Frisco Community Development Corp., and the Frisco Economic Development Corp. to develop the new headquarters, craft brewery and kitchen, and “local event space, tap and tasting room, and production operation” within Frisco Junction. The project utilized a city-owned site.

“We’ve been brainstorming for years about how to find the best project for the silo tract to incorporate into our plans to redevelop historic downtown,” Frisco Mayor Jeff Cheney said in a statement. “We believe Rollertown Beerworks fulfills our vision to bring destination entertainment to the heart of our city. Research shows our residents want live music, brewery experiences and historic downtown settings—all while being family friendly. Rollertown delivers.”

The Frisco venue and HQ are slated to open in June 2025.
