Mike Koprowski is Dallas ISD’s Chief of Transformation and Innovation tasked with spearheading the expansion efforts of its choice schools and cutting-edge initiatives. Koprowski most recently served at the Tennessee Department of Education. While there, he oversaw a statewide cohort that fostered leadership and best practices for principals at low-performing schools, implemented a $19 million competitive grant program to help narrow achievement gaps, and created a statewide incentive program to encourage top teachers to work in the state’s lowest-performing schools. Prior to a career in education, Koprowski served in the United States Air Force, where he was the chief of intelligence for an F-15E fighter squadron while it was deployed to Afghanistan.
