Arcade, an Australian-based startup and 2016 graduate of the REVTECH program, will open a permanent Dallas office.

The accelerator said Arcade recently made two hires to lead customer success and business development for the Dallas office that is operating out of the Dallas Entrepreneur Center in the West End neighborhood of downtown Dallas.

“At REVTECH, we’ve been saying for years that access to customers and talent is more important than access to capital. With Arcade, we brought them $100,000 of investment; but access to large customers and great talent is what moved the company from San Francisco to Dallas,” said REVTECH Managing Director David Matthews.

REV TECH is a seed fund and venture accelerator.

North America will become a primary market for Arcade, which provides a SaaS solution for retailers that uses gamification to equip and engage staff in sales and customer service improvement, REVTECH said in a release.

Arcade founder and CEO David Cherrie will split time between his Melbourne office and the United States. The Melbourne office focuses primarily on engineering and product development.

Among Arcade’s customers are Samsung, Under Armour and Singtel, and it is rolling out a multi-store pilot with a Dallas-based retailer, REVTECH said.
