Entrepreneur magazine is looking to recognize the top privately-owned businesses in America as part of its annual “Entrepreneur 360” list.

As the name implies, the list highlights 360 small businesses each year who score well across four key metrics: impact, innovation, growth, and leadership.

To be eligible, businesses must be privately owned and based in the U.S., the business can’t be a franchisee or franchisor, and at least one of the original founders should be involved in day-to-day operations of the company.

Selected businesses will receive recognition in Entrepreneur magazine and other benefits and networking opportunities.

Last year’s list includes 25 Texas companies with ample representation from the Dallas-Fort Worth area such as Dallas-based Dialexa, Fort Worth’s Fort Capital, Irving-based Halcyon Technologies, and McKinney-based MyTelemedicine Inc.

Applications for the 2017 list are due by July 14.
