Techweek Dallas started off with a buzz of free beer at the Community Beer Co. and a short introduction from Lindsey Lewis, Tech in Motion and kickoff party organizer.
“It has been an amazing, just a year ago we had our first experience with Techweek and we are so excited to get to do it again this year,” Lewis said.
The room was filled with investors, entrepreneurs, and developers from various industries in the Dallas community, all networking and talking about their personal stories.

Companies were drawing people in and even distracting them from the real world. Playful, a McKinney video game company, brought the demo for its newest virtual reality game, Starchild. Being a tech enthusiast myself, I sat down to play and got lost for a minute in the game’s vibrant, futuristic world.
Workbridge, the creator of Tech in Motion, was there to give away a drone and to fill in the crowd on how it connects local companies with talented and skilled individuals and visa versa.
“We are happy to be apart of Techweek,” said Tom Parzych, division manager of Workbridge Dallas. “This is by far the best tech community I have gotten to work in.”
