4 Eleven Bringing Events Venue, Retail to Restored Warehouse

Tucked away just south of downtown Fort Worth, a refurbished warehouse called The 4 Eleven is becoming the city’s newest wedding, events, and retail space in an area that is seeing a bit of a renaissance.

The facility is a restored 1920s-era, 18,000-square-foot warehouse at 411 S. Main St.

Besides the event space, the building will house shops from local entrepreneurs including The Greenhouse 817, Winton and Waits, and gourmet popsicle maker Alchemy Pops. A full-service restaurant and bar space of roughly 3,000 square feet also is available.

The building was going to be demolished and replaced with a parking garage, the Fort Worth Business Press reported, but was saved by a group of new owners that includes some of the creators of BREWED and owners of 6th Ave Homes.

“What was once an aging building in a rundown part of town captured our hearts because we saw the endless possibilities to create a new kind of fun in Fort Worth,” 4 Eleven co-owner Jana Clark told the Business Press. “We wanted to preserve the building’s character while adding value to the area, so we kept the best and revitalized the rest.”

She said the owners’ goal is to make 4 Eleven a destination for Fort Worth locals as well as visitors to the city.

The building has unique features inside and out.

The events venue has multiple flexible spaces that allow for plans to be customizable, the Business Press reported. It could house wedding ceremonies and receptions, fundraisers for nonprofits, holiday parties, or corporate team building events, among other things. It can accommodate up to 420 guests.

Outdoor spaces include a courtyard with vintage brick walls as well as a garden patio.

Also, The Baker Suite is decorated and designed for intimate gatherings.The two-room kitchen/living space is furnished in a mid-century/modern style, and could be used for day-of bridal events, photo reveal and small girlfriend gatherings, according to the 4 Eleven website.

4 ELEVEN EVENTS BEGIN IN NOVEMBER

The venue is available for booking now for events as early as November.

Each shop has an entrance off of South Main Street. Here’s a look at each of the retail spots:

• The Fort Worth-based frozen pop company Alchemy Pops was started by Chief Alchemist Carolyn Phillips. It turns farm-fresh ingredients into unique, seasonal frozen pop flavors. 4 Eleven is Alchemy Pops’ first brick & mortar location.

• LTO (Limited Time Offer) is a furniture and decorative accessories store curated by Clark. It will be in the center of The 4 Eleven and feature new merchandise in addition to vintage pieces. LTO will include the FabLab, at which Clark will provide shoppers with a one-on-one, personalized design consultation.

• The Greenhouse 817 is a bespoke botanical design studio and lifestyle gift shop created by Deryk Poynor. Its services include arrangements, installations, and styling for events, weddings, editorials, and everyday residential or commercial adornment, the Business Press said.

• Winton and Waits is an accessories, gift, and home goods store by Jenna Lee. The Business Press said her designs create jobs through nonprofits both locally and and around the world. Each purchase helps empower a woman to open a bank account, create work history, and take care of her family.

The facility will host public events such as art exhibits, live music, and farmers’ markets, the first of which will be the Fort Worth Shop Small event on Nov. 11 and 12 that will feature 86 local makers and artisans.
