Stockholm-based Skanska—a global construction and development company with U.S. headquarters in New York City—has inked a contract with North Texas’ Collin College to deliver $68 million in renovations to the community college district’s Plano campus.
According to Skanska, the project encompasses around 210,000 square feet of existing building renovations. Deliverables include a new roof, conversion of existing office and classroom spaces into lab areas, updated mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, expanded kitchen and dining room spaces, a theater expansion, and a new police office.
There will also be a “general refresh and reconfiguration” of administration areas, common spaces, and classrooms, Skanska said.
The company called Collin College “a valued repeat client,” noting that this marks the fourth Collin College campus that Skanska will be building on.
Work on the project is slated to begin next month and is expected to be completed in August 2026.
