CodeLaunch To Hold its 2024 World Championship Pitch Competition Nov. 20 in Dallas

The event is the culmination of four previous CodeLaunch competitions held earlier this year across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. Winners from the previous competitions will pitch and compete for $50,000 in funding in front of a live audience, judges, and angel investors—amid a "venturetainment" blend of live music, comedy, panels, and networking.

Plano-based traveling startup accelerator competition CodeLaunch announced its CodeLaunch 2024 World Championship will be held Nov. 20 at Gilley’s Dallas.

The event is the culmination of four previous CodeLaunch competitions held earlier this year across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Winners from the previous four competitions will showcase their solutions and compete for $50,000 in funding in front of a live audience, judges, and angel investors.

“CodeLaunch has always been about more than just competition; it’s about community, innovation, and the shared excitement of bringing new ideas to life,” Jason W. Taylor, founder and president of CodeLaunch, said in a statement. “The World Championship in Dallas will be a milestone event, showcasing the best of what the global startup ecosystem has to offer and underscoring our commitment to supporting entrepreneurial talent through our distinctive blend of competition, education, and entertainment.”

Founded in 2013, CodeLaunch has been at the forefront of fostering startup growth by merging seed accelerator competition with a unique approach called “venturetainment,” which features a blend of live music, comedy, panels, and networking.

CodeLaunch and Improving

CodelLaunch said the selection process for the World Championship is rigorous, ensuring that only the most innovative and promising startups make it to the final stage.

The event will feature presentations from top finalists who have excelled in regional CodeLaunch competitions throughout the year and the finalists will present their pitches to a live audience and a panel of judges, who will evaluate their business viability, technological innovation, and market potential.

Gilley’s Dallas will provide “an ideal backdrop” for the startup showdown, the organization said. The venue’s spacious setting will accommodate an expected turnout of hundreds of attendees, including entrepreneurs, investors, and tech enthusiasts.

Plano-based provider of IT consulting and software development services, Improving, the parent company of CodeLaunch, continues to play a pivotal role in the success of this initiative. Via CodeLaunch and a unique partnership with Conscious Capitalism, Improving leverages its expertise and resources to empower entrepreneurs, helping them navigate the challenges of early-stage development and scale their ventures effectively.

CodeLaunch helps software technology startups by providing them with professional software development teams to create their products and then showcasing them to investors at CodeLaunch events. CodeLaunch said it is an amenity for North American startup founders and does not take cash or equity from founders.
