TREC Names Ex-Uptown Dallas Inc. Leader as its New CEO

Jamee Jolly succeeds Linda McMahon, who left The Real Estate Council earlier this year to take the helm as the inaugural CEO at the Dallas Economic Development Corp.

Veteran nonprofit executive Jamee Jolly has been named the new president and CEO of The Real Estate Council, an influential community organization and trade group representing the North Texas commercial real estate industry.

She succeeds Linda McMahon, who left TREC earlier this year to take the helm as the inaugural CEO at the Dallas Economic Development Corp.

Jolly brings more than 20 years of expertise in private and public service to her new position, including a previous stint with TREC as its lobbyist and director of public affairs and programs.

“Jamee’s history of driving impactful solutions that deliver results, combined with her wealth of experience, make her the perfect fit to guide TREC and serve our members now and into our organization’s future,” Mike Geisler, chairman of the TREC board of directors and partner at Venture Commercial, said in a statement. “I’m confident she will build on TREC’s outstanding reputation and successes and will bolster our advocacy for the commercial real estate industry across the region.”

Most recently, Jolly served as president and executive director of Uptown Dallas Inc. from March 2023 to October 2024, according to her LinkedIn profile. There, she led the district through its third decade of public enhancement and community engagement.

Continuing ‘community investment and public advocacy efforts’

While at TREC from 2005 to 2007, Jolly managed the administration of the Klyde Warren Park initiative, one of TREC’s first and most notable impact investments.

She’s also held roles as president and CEO of the Plano Chamber of Commerce, as senior director of the Plano ISD Education Foundation, and as executive director and lobbyist for the Greater Dallas Restaurant Association.

“I’m excited to return to TREC and work alongside our team, board leadership, members, and community partners, all of whom represent one of the most important economic drivers of our region,” Jolly said in a statement. “TREC is the only organization of its kind providing influential leadership in our region’s commercial real estate industry. I look forward to working together to further that legacy and continue our community investment and public advocacy efforts.”

Jolly, a former board member of the Texas Chamber of Commerce Executives and the Texas Association of Business, served on the 2020 Census Complete Count Committee for the City of Plano and as a member of the Plano Rotary Club. She’s a graduate of both the Leadership Plano Class 30 and the City of Plano Government Academy.
