Take a Tour: Dallas-Based Flite Golf's Flagship Atomic Golf Venue in Las Vegas

That’s one way to hit a jackpot—one lucky 7-iron at a time. Dallas-based Flite Golf & Entertainment recently opened its flagship facility Atomic Golf smack-dab on the Last Vegas Strip.

The nearly 100,000-square-foot, four-level facility offers over 100 separate hitting bays, six bars, eight putting bays, an “Astrocade” multi-use area, and meeting space. The venue features Flite’s patented ball-tracking technology and “all-new propietary games” for all ages and skill levels.

“Atomic Golf is Flite’s showpiece in America’s preeminent entertainment destination,” Flite Founder and CEO John Vollbrecht said in a statement. “Our technology is second-to-none and the overall guest experience will provide much-needed upgrade to yesterday’s golf entertainment.”

Located next to The STRAT Hotel, Casino & Tower, Atomic Golf’s “modernized” venue will employ more than 900 locals across its seven-acre attraction.

Flite Golf’s locations include additional facilities in London, New Orleans, Milwaukee, and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, “with many more on the way.” Those venues include First Golf at Riyadh Seasons and the Greenwich Peninsula Driving Range, “the only driving range in central London.”

Flite also operates an R&D lab at its Dallas headquarters, enabling the company’s in-house team of developers to create and refine “patented, leading-edge technology in addition to hosting clients with simulators demonstrating gameplay.”

Flite partnered with Dallas’ Century Golf in 2021

In 2021, Flite Golf and Dallas-based Century Golf teamed up to bring gamification tech to golf ranges and golf entertainment venues—with help from Senior Advisor Ken May, former CEO of Topgolf, Drive Shack, and FedEx Office.

Century Golf owns and operates nearly 50 golf courses across the U.S., including Walt Disney World Golf in Orlando. By partnering with Flite Golf and its turnkey tech platform, its goal was to drive change in golf entertainment. In turn, the partnership gave Flite Golf a key operations partner.

According to Golf Inc., Century Golf will manage Atomic Golf, with Flite Golf managing the venue’s tech side with a 15-member team.

Flite Golf is just part of why Dallas has been called a ‘golf mecca’

In August 2022, the PGA of America opened its new $33.5 million, high-tech Frisco HQ as part of a $500 million-plus development that’s been dubbed “the Silicon Valley of golf.” Dallas-based Invited is the world’s largest owner and operator of golf and country clubs. Also headquartered in Dallas are tech-driven Topgolf, Drive Shack, and Puttery, as well as Arcis Golf, the second-largest owner of private, resort, and daily-fee golf clubs in the U.S. No wonder Invited CEO David Pillsbury calls Dallas “a golf Mecca.”
