Mini golf entertainment company Puttshack has opened its first North Texas location in Addison, the company’s 11th venue nationwide.
“We’re thrilled to bring Puttshack to Village on the Parkway, and as someone with hometown ties to this vibrant market, I’m especially excited about the incredible journey ahead,” Puttshack CFO Logan Powell said in a statement.. “Puttshack is poised to become a premier destination, offering the perfect setting for happy hours with friends, memorable date nights, late-night adventures, company outings, and family fun.”
“Our unique blend of high-tech mini golf, globally-inspired cuisine, and hand-crafted drinks creates an unparalleled experience. We look forward to welcoming the community and providing a one-of-a-kind, energetic, and hospitable vibe that you won’t find anywhere else.”
The two-story, 32,000-square-foot venue is Puttshack’s second in Texas, located at 5100 Belt Line Road in Village on the Parkway, an open-air shopping center that houses a mix of entertainment, dining, and retail options.
The company said the Addison venue will be the first Puttshack location to offer a new game experience called the Challenge Hole, highlighting the company’s innovation and tech advancements.
“We now offer two unique tech-infused mini golf experiences for our guests: 9-Hole and Challenge Hole, which offers a dedicated suite equipped with a variety of custom games that we’re thrilled to unveil. The Challenge Hole will allow guests to enjoy the full Puttshack experience, with game play, food and beverage and the high energy environment in one dedicated suite,” Ben Shepherd, Puttshack’s chief information and technology officer, said in a statement.
Facing off against other ‘mini-golf eatertainment’ in Dallas area
Puttshack is opening with some local competition on the “mini-golf eatertainment” front. In 2021, Dallas-based Drive Shack launched its own mini-golf concept, Puttery, with its first-ever location at Grandscape. And coming in 2024 to Grandscape in The Colony, Tiger Woods’ Popstroke will feature two realistic 18-hole putting courses “meticulously designed to replicate a traditional golf course.” Synthetic turf will roll across fairways, bunkers, and rough for players of all ages and skill levels.
Puttshack offers automated scoring, interactive games, and more
Whether guests choose to play a game of 9-Hole at one of Addison’s four custom-made courses, or experience the highly competitive Challenge Hole, they’ll have the opportunity to experience automated scoring, bonus point opportunities, interactive games, and more, the company said.
The venue also features a globally inspired menu that includes several nods to local flavors representative of the Dallas region, including the Texas Tailpipes, spring rolls filled with green chile pork, bacon fat tamale, Fresno chile & Chihuahua cheese, avocado salsa & poblano cheese dipping sauce, as well as the Chicken & Waffle Flatbread.
Puttshack said it will be supporting the North Texas Food Bank by donating $1 from every Tailpipe sold at their Addison location.
The Addison location also has a full-service bar serving up craft cocktails, mocktails, and beer, including locally brewed options.
Puttshack’s other locations are in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Houston, Miami, Nashville, Pittsburgh, Scottsdale, and St. Louis, along with four locations in the United Kingdom.
