.…on how Dallas has outpaced New York in recent years in both Cowboys-Giants games and business talent, innovation, and economic incentives, via the Dallas Morning News.
Gannett, a former chief marketing officer for “American Idol” and “So You Think You Can Dance,” launched Dallas-based Gannett.Partners to provide leadership coaching, operating advisory services, and strategic capital solutions. A native of Dallas who’s lived in New York, he knows both cities well—and believes things are trending Dallas’ way.
In a guest opinion column for the Dallas Morning News, Gannett pitched the Dallas Cowboys’ September 40-0 thrashing of the New York Giants as a metaphor for “the changing tides in both sports and business” in the two cities.
“The resounding victory offers a symbolic lens through which to view how the Cowboys have outpaced the Giants in recent years—an outcome that mirrors the ways Dallas’ business landscape has outperformed New York’s in the realm of talent, innovation and economic incentives,” Gannett wrote in the DMN.
By the way, the Cowboys host the Giants this Sunday at 3:25 p.m.—with the ‘Pokes favored by 16.5 points.
