Daiso, a leading retail company specializing in Japanese-inspired products, has opened its second U.S. distribution center in DeSoto.
Daiso, which was founded in Japan and entered the U.S. market in 2005, is known for its array of unique and affordable products across various categories, such as household goods, stationery, beauty, and more. Its U.S. headquarters is in La Mirada, California.
The company, which has eight retail locations in DFW, said the new facility, established in collaboration with Flexe and JT Logistics, will begin operating in July and will be a pivotal hub for the company’s expanding network. Daiso first opened in Carrollton in 2015, and has stores in Fort Worth, Irving, Grapevine, Euless, Plano, Arlington, Frisco, and very soon, Dallas. The company is set to open in Mockingbird Commons in September, according to public records.
“We are thrilled to announce the opening of our new distribution center in Texas,” Marie Christensen, VP of supply chain for Daiso, said in a statement. “This facility will not only enable us to enhance our operational capabilities but also ensure timely and efficient delivery of our products to our valued customers. We are excited to partner with Flexe and JT Logistics, and we are confident that their expertise will play a crucial role in our growth strategy.”
Daiso said the new center aligns with its strategy of enhancing operational efficiency and meeting the increasing demand for its unique variety of products.
The company said the investment marks an important milestone for Daiso’s growth and expansion plans in the United States. According to Daiso, the collaboration with Flexe and JT Logistics unites the expertise and capabilities of two renowned industry leaders.
Flexe, a programmatic logistics leader, delivers supply chain flexibility through its technology platform and warehouse network, Daiso said. JT Logistics, a leading logistics service provider and Flexe Logistics Network operator, offers its expertise in managing seamless distribution operations.
