Manning will lead Gradalis’ medical, scientific strategies
Luisa Manning, M.D., has been appointed vice president of medical and scientific affairs by Gradalis inc., a Carrolton-based clinical stage immunotherapy company.
Manning will be responsible for creating and overseeing the company’s medical and scientific strategies and the management of its clinical trials.
The company said that she will be responsible for strategic and operational leadership of the clinical and scientific activities at Gradalis, including management of the existing pipeline of investigational products and the initiated Phase 3 registration study in Ewings Sarcoma.
Fryar joins Capital Senior Living leadership team
Michael C. Fryar has joined Dallas-based Capital Senior Living Corp. as chief revenue officer, a new position at the company.
Most recently, Fryar was vice president of North American marketing for GN Hearing, which is part of the medical device division of GN Group.
“His deep expertise includes deploying both digital and traditional marketing methods to fuel top-line growth, and he understands how to effectively support and drive results through the consumer experience and with a geographically dispersed sales organization,” Kimberly S. Lody, president and CEO, said in a statement.
Associa promotes Simpson to regional sales director
Associa, a Dallas-based community management company, has promoted Robert Simpson to regional sales director for the central region.
He will focus on increasing client growth, company development, and sales activities in the central region. Simpson brings more than nine years of customer service, business development, and community management experience to his new role.
Associa said in a release that Simpson will establish sales initiatives to expand customer outreach, and develop sales strategies, training programs, and educational courses for clients, business development professionals, and branch leaders.
Mr. Cooper names Burr to its board of directors
Mr. Cooper Group Inc. announced that Busy Burr has been appointed to its board of directors.
Burr has more than 10 years of C-level executive experience, Mr. Cooper said in a release, including as managing director of Citi Ventures and global head of business incubation at Citigroup.
Mr. Cooper offers servicing, origination, and transaction-based services mostly for single-family residences throughout the United States with operations under its primary brands: Mr. Cooper and Xome.
Learning Forward taps Borders as new executive director
Denise Glyn Borders will take the reins at Learning Forward as its new executive director effective this June.
Learning Forward, established in 1969 as the National Staff Development Council, is the only membership association focused solely on the role of high-quality professional learning in improving teaching and learning for all students.
“Denise brings strategic leadership, strong research, and expertise from a range of sectors, in preK-12, government, academia, profit, and nonprofit organizations,” said Alan Ingram, past president of Learning Forward and chair of the executive director search committee.
Most recently, Borders was president of SRI Education, a division at SRI International.
Mercedes-Benz Financial Services USA appoints Lovely as vice president
Mark Lovely has been named vice president of sales and operations by Mercedes-Benz Financial Services USA LLC, a leading automotive financial services provider that has its Business Center in Fort Worth.
Lovely is responsible for leading field sales and retail credit operations throughout the nation while managing a team of more than 140 employees.
Lovely has more than 20 years of experience in management. He was previously president and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Financial Services BeNeLux (Belgium, Netherlands, and Luxembourg).
Eyecare Services Partners promotes Conte to vice president
Dallas-based Eyecare Services Partners, a national provider of integrated eyecare services, has promoted Roberto Conte to vice president operations-East.
Conte will oversee operations that support current and future ESP ophthalmic and optometric practices, along with affiliated ambulatory surgery centers in the eastern United States, the company said.
He will report to COO Nicholas Sacco. Previously, Conte was executive vice president of Eye Doctors of Washington.
Kimberly-Clark names Brown as deputy general counsel
Shonn Brown has been named the new deputy general counsel at Irving-based Kimberly-Clark Corp.
Brown formerly was a trial lawyer at Lynn Pinker Cox & Hurst. At Kimberly-Clark, Brown will oversee the personal care customer product giant’s global litigation docket.
She is a 1998 graduate of the SMU Dedman School of Law, and was a partner at Lynn Pinker for more than three years.
