Wingstop EVP, Chief Revenue & Tech Officer Resigns to Be CEO at Another Company

Addison-based restaurant chain Wingstop announced Stacy Peterson, executive vice president, chief revenue and technology officer, has resigned to become CEO of another unnamed company.

Restaurant Business reported that the announcement was made in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Wingstop said Peterson’s departure will be effective Dec. 2. It did not disclose where Peterson will be going as CEO, only saying it is a private-equity sponsored, non-competitive company.

She joined Wingstop in 2013 and briefly left the company before returning again to the executive team. In her first tour with the company, Peterson laid the foundation for the development of a tech stack that enabled Wingstop to become a top-performing brand during the pandemic.

Peterson was named Wingstop’s chief experience officer in 2017 focused on improving the consumer-facing technology experience, including a redesign of the website and app, Restaurant Business said.

She left Wingstop in 2019 to serve briefly as chief information officer for Service King Collision Repair Centers for a little over a year, but returned to Wingstop in 2020, later adding in the chief revenue officer and EVP roles to her responsibilities.
