A fleet of app-controlled bicycles will help the Which Wich corporate team deliver 1,000 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to The Bridge Homeless Recovery Center on Friday.
The Dallas-based fast casual chain is teaming with Garland-based VBikes to donate the sandwiches to the homeless shelter on the edge of downtown Dallas in a so-called “Spreading Party.”
Which Wich CEO Jeff Sinelli saw the VBikes appear in downtown recently and cooked up a plan to put them to work for good. He especially liked the bright yellow colors on the bikes, similar to Which Wich’s brand.
VBikes will donate 40 bikes to Which Wich to use during Friday’s “Spreading Party.” VBikes’ bike-sharing program requires no docking stations. Riders find a bike using the GPS on the app. Then, unlock the bike using Bluetooth. When finished, riders can leave the bike where they’ve stopped.
