“We 100% got turned away right at the entrance. So we had to go all the way back to the car.”

Kane co-founded Dallas-based Show Tote with Deborah Bowles, after both of them ran into trouble getting their handbags past security and into concert events. Now their new company offers bags that “follow the rules and turn heads,” including The Clear Envelope design seen above.
“Venue bag rules are confusing, inconsistent, and honestly kind of a pain,” Kane said in a statement. “So we created Show Tote to cut through the chaos… a bag that not only gets you in, but helps you stand out long after the show’s over.”
Kane told the Dallas Morning News’ Brian Womack she was inspired to launch Show Tote after being turned away from Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour for having a bag that didn’t meet security rules.
Designed to “breeze through security without sacrificing style,” Show Tote says it offers a solution for over 1,100 U.S. venues, from concerts and festivals to stadiums, sporting events, and beyond. The launch collection includes seven regulation-approved styles: The Handle, The Mini, The Phone, The Camera, The Envelope Clear, The Tote Clear, and The Essential Clear.
The Show Tote collection is now available for purchase online, with bags priced from $198.00 to $378. The site even has a “venue search” that lets you check out concert venues’ rules before choosing a pre-approved bag.
