Tech-Enabled Home Remodeling Firm Opens Western HQ in Las Colinas

Based in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, West Shore Home ramped up its tech game in 2022 by acquiring St. Paul, Minn.-based Design Center, Inc. The firm says its iPad design app and its "Don't Blink" mindset allow consumers to drive the remodeling process through its platform "in a fraction of the time" of traditional approaches.

Fast-growing home remodeling firm West Shore Homes has opened its western headquarters in Irving’s Las Colinas district, with a full distribution center, office space for over 120 employees, and training rooms for corporate programs.

The facility will service the company’s ArizonaColoradoOklahomaTexas, and Utah branches—and the  warehouse will provide storage for all window, door, shower, and bath products for West Shore’s remodeling jobs west of the Mississippi River, the firm said.

A “technology-enabled” home remodeling services provider

West Shore offers an iPad design app that enables homeowners to customize their bath, shower, window, or door project from dozens of product combinations. The firm says its “one-day installation ensures customers aren’t burdened by time-consuming remodeling projects.”

In July 2022, West Shore ramped up its tech game by acquiring St. Paul, Minn.-based Design Center, Inc. (above), which specializes in mobile app development, virtual reality solutions, and custom software.

The acquisition enhanced West Shore’s ability to innovate and improve the customer experience, the company said at the time. Utilizing what it calls it’s “Don’t Blink” mindset, West Shore allows consumers to drive the process through its tech-driven platform. “What traditionally would take weeks and months, West Shore Home completes in a fraction of the time by giving consumers a seamless, self-service digital experience,” the company said last year.

A ‘replicated home environment’ just a short distance from western HQ

Founded in 2006 and based in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, West Shore has a hands-on training facility near its new Irving HQ. Inside it, West Shore’s window, door, and bath installers and sales team “will learn their craft by training in a replicated home environment,” the company said.

“West Shore Home is growing at an explosive rate and this is the next step in our goal to become America’s most admired home remodeling brand,” B.J. Werzyn, president and CEO of West Shore Home, said in a statement. “Our proven customer-focused business model is propelling West Shore Home nationwide, while our ability to provide fast, seamless business integrations is changing perceptions in the home remodeling industry.”

The Irving facility is West Shore’s  third corporate building; two others are in Mechanicsburg. The firm says this is the first time it has combined a distribution center and operational functions in the same building.
