Team EnVyUs is making headlines again by announcing its team name and logo for the Dallas Overwatch League.
In August, EnVyUs told ESPN about its relocation to Dallas and continued to make eports news by acquiring the Dallas Overwatch League franchise spot. Now, it has officially named its OWL logo and team name — Dallas Fuel.

On Thursday, Owner and CEO Mike Rufail and his investment partners at Hersh Interactive Group announced the new team name and logo was an homage to its home state of Texas.
“We’re thrilled to bring a championship-caliber franchise to the area with the Dallas Fuel,” Rufail said in a release. “In choosing a name, we wanted to speak to our Texas roots.”
Known as the “Boys in Blue,” Team EnVyUs has chosen the Dallas Fuel official team colors to be blue, gray, and black, honoring that tradition. The logo itself has a blue flame set against a bold font which depicts the team name.
“A powerful spark of energy is what Hersh Interactive Group and the Dallas Fuel intend to bring to the esports industry. We are excited to be the home team for Dallas,” said Randy Chappel, managing director at Hersh Interactive Group, in a release.

Team EnVyUs is not the only team banking on North Texas becoming a hub for esports. Team OpTic Gaming has also relocated to Dallas and secured an OWL franchise in Houston.
With player signing ending on Oct. 30, Dallas Fuel and all other OWL teams are working on recruiting players for their rosters.
The Overwatch League begins preseason play on Dec. 6. The regular season opens Jan. 10 and runs through June. Playoffs and finals take place in July 2018.
