The first-ever DreamHack Dallas was held earlier this month, and approximately 30,000 people attended the three-day long festival. If you weren’t able to attend, you’re in luck—DHD Films captured 360-degree highlights complete with an interactive video.
Dallas-based DHD Films is a full-service video production agency with a DHD GIGA feature that acts as a post-event engagement platform. Earlier this year, DHD released a beta activation during Mark Cuban’s speech at Dallas Startup Week. DreamHack Dallas marks the first time gigapixel photography has been used to cover an esports event, the company said in a a statement.
Interactive arrows allow users to navigate between different areas in the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center where DreamHack Dallas was held. Among DHD’s 360 degree images is the CORSAIR DreamHack Masters tournament that had players competing for a $250,000 prize pool, DreamHack Dallas’ main event area featuring a multitude of esports tournaments, and an open section where attendees could play video games for free.
