“Over the next three years, there’s going to be two types of companies: those who are great at AI and those who went out of business,” the entrepreneur and investor said at Convergence AI Dallas, a Dallas Regional Chamber conference highlighting AI trends and innovation in North Texas....
Dallas–Fort Worth has become one of the fastest-growing business ecosystems in the United States. Major corporations continue relocating headquarters to North Texas, venture-backed startups are scaling, and entrepreneurs from across the country are increasingly choosing Dallas as the place to build....
Beyond Verizon, other organizations with notable patents granted this week include:
- AIM Design’s locker with fold-down jewelry tray
- AT&T’s system for orchestrating drone swarms
- Bastian Solutions’ motion planning technique for robotic systems
- Global Tel*Link’s methods for product ordering and delivery for inmates
- Hunt Company’s adaptive fluid distribution using a hovering device
- KPMG’s dynamic multi-party verification of generative artificial intelligence systems
- NCH Corporation’s groundwater treatment for non-potable use
- Niantic Spatial’s compact head-mounted augmented reality system
- Pay With Spire’s computer system for providing payments, incentives, and fraud protection within or across industries

The 2026 Edison Awards were held in Fort Myers, Florida, last week, celebrating innovation and excellence in technological and product development—and three Dallas companies came away winners: Colossal Biosciences, Breakout Learning, and OhmBody....
