Launched in Palo Alto in 2018, InfStones relocated its HQ to Plano last year. With a goal of bringing the “AWS experience to Web3,” it's landed a new $66 million funding round and says it's nearing unicorn status—a designation for startups valued at $1 billion.
“Our vision is to provide a rugged, easy-to-use Web3 environment to build a more transparent, intelligent world,” CEO Zhenwu Shi says.

Colorado-based Riot Blockchain, one of the world's largest publicly traded bitcoin mining companies, announced plans to develop a 265-acre site in Corsicana—about an hour south of Dallas—adding to its growing presence in the Lone Star State.
At full capacity, the development is expected to have one gigawatt of capacity—enough energy to power around 750,000 households.

Fort Worth is positioning itself to be the capital of crypto mining. Bitcoin mining machines donated by the Texas Blockchain Council began running 24/7 today, following a city council vote that authorized the six-month pilot program.
Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker plugged in the machines herself live on Twitter this afternoon at 2:35 p.m. “These small but powerful machines mark Fort Worth’s larger commitment to becoming a leading hub for technology and innovation," she said.
