Through a long-term agreement with General Motors, MP Materials is bringing its MP Magnets division to AllianceTexas in Fort Worth. The company is building a new, 200,000-square-foot rare earth magnetics and materials manufacturing facility which will "re-shore" critical components for America's EV batteries, robots, drones, defense systems, and other tech.

The Fort Worth Local Development Corp. approved $500,000 over two years to create the Fort Worth Entrepreneurship Center. The center will be operated by The DEC Network in the city's Near Southside neighborhood, according to the Fort Worth Report.

On Tuesday, the Fort Worth City Council approved an economic development agreement with Sinclair Digital, the smart buildings tech startup that brought The Sinclair—a Marriott Autograph Collection hotel called "the world's first all-digital hotel"—to downtown Fort Worth.
Under the agreement, Sinclair Digital will launch a new corporate R&D and tech center in downtown Fort Worth. According to the Star-Telegram, city tax incentives will enable the hiring of 30 to 40 new employees over the next few months, with programmers included in the new positions.

Fort Worth is positioning itself to be the capital of crypto mining. Bitcoin mining machines donated by the Texas Blockchain Council began running 24/7 today, following a city council vote that authorized the six-month pilot program.
Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker plugged in the machines herself live on Twitter this afternoon at 2:35 p.m. “These small but powerful machines mark Fort Worth’s larger commitment to becoming a leading hub for technology and innovation," she said.
