Ah, the dreaded group text. It "dings" on your phone with the promise of a one-to-one message—only to reveal that a few, several, or a dozen-plus recipients will now be dinging you to death. To solve that, a new Dallas-based startup called Brodkast has launched a free-to-use private group messaging app. It's like sending a BCC email, except "cooler" and "faster," says Founder Natasha August.
