Santander Consumer USA Foundation Announces $1.7M in Grants

Santander said the grants represent the latest step in the foundation’s longstanding commitment to investing in Dallas and helping the most vulnerable in local communities across the nation "to learn, grow, and prosper."

The new members are Fallyn Jones, SVP at Citigroup; Laura Nieto, managing director of corporate responsibility, Southwest Airlines; and federal prosecutor Camelia Lopez Shoemaker. They began three-year terms April 1 with an optional second term. NFNL also announced other board moves.

Four local organizations have received 2022 grants from the foundation's Mary M. Jalonick Women’s Philanthropy Institute. New Friends New Life—which helps women and their children overcome backgrounds of abuse, addiction, and poverty—received the lead grant of $150,000.
$50,000 grants went to Braswell Child Development Center, Community Basket Mobile Farmers Market, and Mosaic Family Services.
