Sheridan—the powerhouse behind hit shows like "Yellowstone" and "Landman"—is partnering with Paramount Television and Dallas-based Hillwood on the new production campus in AllianceTexas. Additional production campuses are now planned across the huge development, with a goal of making Texas "'a global force in the film industry."
“Our goal was to create a digital destination that promotes Fort Worth as a premier business location, complementing the economic development efforts of our partners at the city of Fort Worth,” said Fort Worth EDP President and CEO Robert Allen.
When Ross Perot Jr. and Mike Berry were in their mid-20s, they set out to defy skeptics and fast-track a first-of-its-kind industrial airport in North Fort Worth. Today, AllianceTexas stands as a 27,000-acre global nexus fueled by that same trailblazing spirit—and public-private collaboration on a grand scale.
The organization said the board signifies a "robust and resolute commitment to attracting and recruiting businesses to Fort Worth," one of the fastest-growing cities in the nation.
The Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce has taken significant steps to boost economic development for the city by creating the Fort Worth Economic Development Partnership. The newly-formed nonprofit will be headed by Texas economic development industry veteran Robert Allen, who was appointed as president.
Robert Folzenlogen, Lucy Billingsley, and Michael Alost tell us what it takes to build a future-proof place for people and companies.

Plus, Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker makes an appointment to the city council's Entrepreneurship and Innovation Committee.
Mayor Mattie Parker, whose catchphrase is "Go Time," says she coined the term for a reason. Fort Worth is at a pinnacle of possibility, and entrepreneurship is at the center of that. The data speaks for itself, Parker said: A new jobs report from Sparkyard shows startups play a significant role in job creation in Fort Worth and Tarrant County—with average salaries more than twice the minimum wage.
COVID-19 accelerated many trends in commercial real estate, especially in e-commerce and the industrial sector. Hillwood President Mike Berry talks about the outlook for corporate relocation in Dallas-Fort Worth, as well as long-term shifts involving technology and what sectors are more pandemic proof, in a wide-ranging Q&A.
Dallas-based Hillwood plans to turn its vast acreage in Fort Worth and Denton County into a place called the AllianceTexas Mobility Innovation Zone. There, new transportation technologies can be developed and deployed—from autonomous cars and trucks to high-flying drones and air taxis.
