The partnership with Fortra marks "a significant milestone" in LevelBlue's mission to deliver world-class, proactive cybersecurity and secure what’s next for its clients, the companies said—while also representing advancement in Fortra's evolution as a channel-first company focused on empowering resellers, service providers, and distributors to deliver its solutions.
As part of the deal, SoftBank Corp., SoftBank Vision Fund 2, and Liberty Strategic Capital, known for investing in disruptive and innovative technology, will become investors in LevelBlue—which was formerly known as AT&T Cybersecurity before its spinout as a standalone business last year.
LevelBlue—formerly known as AT&T Cybersecurity before its spinout as a standalone business last year—said the deal makes it "the world’s largest pure-play" managed security services provider, with the broadest and most comprehensive portfolio of managed security, offensive security, strategic advisory, incident response, and security software.
The acquisition represents a significant step in LevelBlue's growth strategy by adding deep cyber and high-tech IP litigation consulting expertise and world-class incident response capabilities to its expanding global portfolio, the company said.
