The program is designed to help the owners of forward-thinking small businesses in Tarrant County. Through the program, they can apply for federal funds via mechanisms known as the Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer programs, collectively known as America’s Seed Fund.

The UNT Health Science Center at Fort Worth has received a $2 million grant from Tarrant County to help emerging tech startups successfully apply for federal Small Business Innovation Research funding.
"It’s about creating entrepreneurial excellence in Tarrant County,” says Tarrant County Commissioner Roy Brooks. “This puts us at the forefront of innovation in bringing tech industries to Tarrant County as an economic development tool.”
