As MLC Debut Looms, Sixes Social Cricket Is Swinging at Grandscape in The Colony

With the first-ever Major League Cricket match looming Thursday in Grand Prairie, the sport of cricket is catching on in DFW. Sixes Social Cricket, a London-based immersive entertainment concept, opened at Grandscape on June 17 to help North Texans get in the swing of things.

North Texas is quickly staking claim to be the capital of cricket in the U.S. We already have the first professional cricket stadium in the U.S.—Grand Prairie Stadium, home of Major League Cricket's Texas Super Kings, who'll host the MLC's inaugural match this July 13th. Now U.K.-based Sixes Social Cricket has announced the U.S. debut of its immersive social cricket experience here, too. It's slated to open this summer at Grandscape, the shopping and entertainment destination in The Colony.

Activate Games says it offers "the next level in entertainment, fitness, and gaming." Its six locations in Canada and the U.S. have up to 11 rooms with laser mazes, touch-activated climbing walls, arcade-style target walls, light-flashing basketball hoops, and more—with your score tracked by an RFID bracelet.
You can "put your brain and body to the test" when the new Plano location opens by as soon as the end of this year.
