Federal Health Agency Plugs Into Texas With Ambitious Clinical Trials Push

The Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health—or ARPA-H— wants to enable 90% of eligible Americans to participate in clinical trials within 30 minutes of their homes. The agency officially launched its new Texas "customer experience" headquarters at Dallas' Pegasus Park on Thursday, which will be home base for the initiative.

McKinney's Wistron GreenTech has partnered with New Jersey-based Princeton NuEnergy on a lithium-Ion battery direct recycling pilot production line, which officially opened in McKinney today. PNE founder Dr. Yan Chao calls it a "powerful next step" in a vision for covering a nationwide close-loop recycling supply chain for the batteries.

The line will use PNE's patented process to recycle everything from phone batteries to full EV battery packs.

Wells Fargo To Build a 22-Acre Corporate Campus in Irving, Creating 650 New Jobs

Governor Greg Abbott confirmed today that San Francisco-based Wells Fargo will build a new corporate campus in Irving's Las Colinas development. Based around two 400,000-square-foot towers, the campus will provide a home for Wells Fargo's 3,000 local employees, while creating 650 jobs. Dallas firm KDC has been tapped as developer.

The move is being aided by a $5 million "deal-closing" grant from the Texas Enterprise Fund, on top of $30 million in incentives approved by the Irving City Council in August.
