Ericsson Sets Data Speed Record of Over 1Gbps During 5G Indoor Trial

Ericsson said the trial was conducted over a live Citizen's Broadband Radio Service network at its North America HQ in Plano. Now, with the ability to get 5G gigabit speeds indoors along with advanced capabilities, Ericsson says enterprises can feel confident in deploying Private 5G networks.

"We're excited to continue pushing the envelope of what is possible with 5G," Ericsson's Paul Challoner said.

Fujitsu North America CEO Doug Moore was inducted into the Tech Titans Hall of Fame, and Charlie Vogt, CEO of telecommunications firm DZS, won the Corporate CEO Award. The fastest-growing tech company award went to Fort Worth's TimelyMD. "The need to come together as an industry, reconnect with friends, and build new business connections were really what this year’s awards gala was all about," said Tech Titans' Paul Bendel.
