Both projects were competed recently by Adolfson & Peterson Construction—improving the acoustics for the seven-time Grammy-nominated One O’Clock Lab Band and eight other jazz lab bands while giving drones and ground autonomous vehicles room to fly and roam.

With the help of the U.S. Department of Energy grant, the city of Arlington said it will conduct an innovative pilot program to test the efficiency and scalability of using autonomous, electric drone and robot delivery vehicles. The goal: Reduce greenhouse gas emissions while serving residents in need.

Dublin, Ireland-based Manna, the world’s first aviation-grade B2B "drone delivery as-a-service" startup, has begun a trial in partnership with Dallas-based real estate development company Hillwood at its AllianceTexas development in Fort Worth. The trial will initially offer drone delivery to a select number of Hillwood’s residential developments.

NASA is looking to shape the future of flight, and Bell is on board. Its drone was able to successfully detect and avoid other objects in the airspace while integrating with its ground-based radar surveillance system. Bell says the flight test will aid in expanding the industry, as things like drone delivery services and air taxi companies mature.

North Texas-Based Hedera Helps Boost Long-Distance Drone Safety in U.K. Trial

The public ledger consensus service from Richardson-headquartered Hedera helped “gather, store, and order” millions of data points in the trial, which was sponsored by the U.K. government.
Working with London-based aviation tech firm Neuron Innovations, Hedera helped advance the case for the safe sharing of long-distance airspace by commercial, military, and government drones.
