Quadrant Investment Properties has broken ground on two office buildings in the Dallas Design District, according to the Dallas Morning News' Steve Brown—a five-story building on Riveredge Drive and the 10-story Thirteen Thirty Three on Oak Lawn near Riverfront Boulevard. QIP's Chad Cook says he doesn't want the district "to become another Uptown."

Rideshare Startup Alto To Open New ‘Community-Centric’ HQ in Dallas Design District

The ridesharing startup is moving into bigger digs in Quadrant Investment Properties' Manufacturing District development in the Dallas Design District.

The relocation follows Alto's $45M Series B round last June and a recent expansion to Silicon Valley. Alto's new 16,000-square-foot HQ offers "community-centric" amenities like Lounge 141, a shared rooftop lounge with panoramic views of downtown Dallas.

Banksy is the world's most elusive and celebrated street artist, an anonymous provocateur whose subversive graffiti often makes headlines wherever it pops up. Later this month, some of his greatest hits will pop up in Dallas for two weekends of officially "unauthorized" immersive showings.

“These have been very challenging years here in the U.S., and we feel that Bansky's work, while often cynical, is also incredibly hopeful,” the curator says.

UK Soccer Experience TOCA Social Coming to Dallas Design District

The first TOCA Social launched last August in London, attracting cast members from "Ted Lasso" and top Premier League players. The Dallas location, slated to open in 2023, will offer a three-floor, 56K-SF experience of dining, drinks, and interactive soccer games in 34 "TOCA boxes." The top two floors and their huge decks will offer "bonkers" views of the Dallas skyline—and may be a magnet for corporate events.
