Capital Impact Partners launched the initiative in Dallas last April to unleash talent that is ready to work with local neighborhoods for uplifting solutions.
One developer is already putting finishing touches on 26 affordable homes this year.
Capital Impact Partners' Equitable Development Initiative has already been rolled out in Detroit, metro Washington, D.C., and the San Francisco Bay Area—training more than 200 developers of color since 2018. Now it's landed in Dallas with funding support from JPMorgan Chase & Co. and Charles Schwab Bank.
The goal: Help local real estate developers of color break down barriers and advance in a booming market—while helping underserved communities by building more affordable housing.
