Months after relocating to North Texas from California, EV delivery van maker Canoo filed for bankruptcy in January. Now—aiming to honor Canoo's commitments to the USPS, U.S. Army, and NASA—CEO Anthony Aquila proposes to buy the company's assets for $4 million, TechCrunch reports.

Based out of its facility in Justin, a city north of Fort Worth, Canoo's HQ is within easy EV range of its DFW-based CEO, Tony Aquila. Now, with thousands of EV orders on the books from Walmart and other companies—and test vehicles humming about for the USPS, U.S. Army, NASA, and more—Canoo has some growing to do.

Walmart has ordered 4,500 all-electric Lifestyle Delivery Vehicles from Canoo, with the first pre-production test models to roll in Dallas-Fort Worth “in the coming weeks.” Aquila, the former CEO of Westlake's Solera Holdings, says Walmart has the assets to really leverage Canoo's EVs.
