TXSE’s Jeb Hensarling Says Battle for ETFs Will Be a Key Focus of New Stock Exchange

TXSE’s launch will spur needed competition and smooth the way for companies to go public, the strategic advisor said at the 2025 Venture Dallas conference. And, over time, he says it will help make Texas America’s ‘center for capital markets’ and become a defining chapter in the state’s economic history, alongside Spindletop and the integrated circuit.

Francisco Maella, the former CEO and CTO of Dobson Fiber, succeeds Gigapower's founding CEO, Bill Hogg. Since its 2022 launch, Gigapower has connected more than 150 municipalities to high-speed broadband across nine states, including Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Nevada, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Minnesota.

A consortium of big industry players called the Artificial Intelligence Infrastructure Partnership (AIP) and other partners are snapping up Aligned and its 50 data center campuses across the U.S. and Latin America. AIP's first-ever investment aims to help meet "the growing demand for the infrastructure required as AI continues to reshape the global economy," said BlackRock CEO Larry Fink.

As we noted in our top story today, Lee's TXSE Group plans to launch the Texas Stock Exchange (TXSE), focused on Texas and the Southeast U.S. The group says it will provide "a venue to trade and list public companies and the growing universe of exchange-traded products" as a "fully electronic, national securities exchange." That's caused buzz across the Lone Star State—and especially on Wall Street.
