Solutions by Text Taps Payment Pro as Chief Product Officer

Nick Babinsky will steer messaging and payments into a "new, autonomous era" of frictionless transactions.

Solutions by Text, known for its FinText platform targeting consumer finance businesses, has appointed industry veteran Nick Babinsky as its chief product officer.

The company was started in 2008 to deliver conversational messaging for businesses through texts.

Babinsky, with a history of scaling ACH and card-based software solutions and fostering collaborations with major banking and fintech players, was instrumental in Billtrust’s growth in B2B payments, according to a news release.

David Baxter, CEO of Solutions by Text, says “SBT is pioneering the way companies communicate and transact with consumers.” In a statement, the CEO commented on Babinsky’s track record and what it brings to the table: “Nick’s leadership will be integral as we aim to refine payments through text, enhancing how companies interact with consumers.”

The announcement comes ahead of SBT’s FinText 2023 conference, scheduled for October in Nashville, focusing on the integration of real-time payments with messaging.

Solutions by Text has also initiated its first Customer Advisory Board, which will target the end consumer experience in the finance sector. The board, with representation from entities like Lending Club and SAFCO, was assembled with a vision of “anticipating and responding to trends,” the company said.
