A pre-sale home renovation company specializing in turnkey home sales services is bringing its innovative, high-tech approach to the Dallas-Fort Worth realty market.
With services now available in North Texas, Maryland-based Curbio, Inc. wants to make moving easy. As a result, it offers 3-D virtual walk-throughs for homes, same-day fee estimates, and a hassle-free renovation process for all its listings.
“Today’s home buyers want homes to be move-in ready,” Curbio’s president and CEO Rick Rudman said in a statement. “And sellers and agents want a hassle-free experience that doesn’t require dealing with contractors, suppliers, or home improvement financing.”
The Dallas launch was celebrated at the W Hotel on Thursday, March 14. Hundreds of realtors were in attendance at the launch, Curbio says.
Curbio boasts that clients can renovate their homes before putting them on the market, all without ever stepping foot in a hardware store, hiring a contractor, or writing a check.
According to Curbio’s website, the company knows which renovations and updates are most likely to make a home sell.
How it works
A homeowner is ready to make the sell, but she knows her home is in need of pre-listing renovations. That’s where Curbio comes in. Using a special camera and software, the company, along with a listing agent, decides which upgrades are necessary to make the house sell for top-dollar.
Curbio then creates a cost estimate and prepares for the repairs. Once the job is underway, the company provides the equipment and materials needed for renovation, which its general contractor then completes.
The best news—the homeowner doesn’t have to pay a dime for the renovations until the house sells. The company’s “renovate now, pay when you sell” policy allows their clients to defer payments and give their home optimum potential.
The payoff
The company’s website claims their clients’ homes spend 50 percent less time on the market, and that homeowners typically see a 150 percent return on their initial investment.
“Curbio is doing for pre-sale home renovation what Uber has done for transportation,” Rudman said in a statement. “In what has historically been a cottage industry of tradesmen, our on-demand renovation technology makes ordering a renovation project almost as easy as hailing a ride.”
