Lewisville-based property services provider MCS has launched home remodeling services for the Dallas-Fort Worth market, a service that will be run by Kelly Carney, who serves as the operations director for its local DFW service center.

Residents in neighborhoods throughout the Collin, Denton, Kaufman, Rockwall, Dallas and Tarrant areas now can work directly with one of the nation’s leading property care companies for their own bath and kitchen remodeling, room additions and conversions, and light construction projects, MCS said.

“The demand for quality, reliable home renovation continues to grow, and MCS is excited to expand our home remodeling service to the Dallas market,” Andrew Nolan, president of Residential & Commercial Services at MCS, said in a statement. “Our company has been providing property maintenance and light construction nationally for real estate operators since 1986, and now we are delivering our full slate of services to local homeowners. Our rapid success in the Phoenix market confirms the strong demand for this service and we look forward to helping Dallas-area residents on their remodeling projects.”

Services for homeowners

MCS said the direct-to-consumer offering represents its second market for this service, coming on the heels of an initial launch in Phoenix in September 2023.

The company said the success of the remodeling service in Phoenix, which represented the first consumer service offering in the history of the company, drove the expansion into the Dallas market where MCS also has a local service center.

MCS said that in just six months, the Phoenix home remodeling team has helped dozens of homeowners upgrade their homes by remodeling kitchens and bathrooms, converting rooms to more functional space, repairing and replacing outdated materials, and other light construction projects.

The MCS team now is able to perform numerous services for Dallas-area homeowners:

• Kitchen remodeling including appliances, countertops, cupboards, flooring, lighting, and plumbing.
• Bathroom remodeling such as countertops, tile, plumbing, bath and shower upgrades, and lighting.
• Room additions and conversions for extra living or workspace, casitas, and mother-in-law suites.
• Enhancing outdoor living spaces with fencing, kitchens, pergolas and patio upgrades.
• Light construction work to help modernize and enhance all areas of a home.

‘A client-focused approach across the DFW market’

MCS said Carney has more than three decades of experience with renovation and new-build projects throughout the market and has a team of local service technicians, project managers, installers, plumbers, electricians, and estimators available to perform and deliver high-quality work.

As needed, MCS said the Dallas team partners with specialized subcontractors on specific trade services to ensure projects are completed effectively, efficiently, and on budget.

‘Future-proofing’ proptech

In 2023, MCS said it expanded its regional network, making key acquisitions, new hires and launching “future-proofing” initiatives, including its first direct-to-consumer home remodeling service offering in Phoenix to expand its service offerings and capture new market share. The company was also recognized with several individual and company industry awards, including the 2023 Commercial Property Executive Influence Gold Award in the Most Innovative Corporate Strategy category and as a finalist in the most recent D CEO/Dallas Innovates Innovation Awards.

Also, the company said it has enhanced and upgraded its corporate technology platform, hiring industry veteran Marin Ursu as the new CIO, advancing its goal to be the “nation’s leading property services provider,” CEO Craig Torrance said in January. Proptech upgrades are part of its strategy to maximize efficiencies across its service offerings, which include property inspections, preservation, maintenance, renovations, and other property-related services.

“Getting the right people, strategy, technology and, most of all, the right mindset was the driving force behind our many accomplishments in 2023,” Torrance said in January, noting the company had “solid financial performance over the last 12 months” and is “trending towards increasing revenue in the coming year, with most of that coming from our new startups.”

According to the company, MCS leverages state-of-the-art technology platforms to provide visibility and access into service requests, work progress, and cost estimators. This includes photo documentation, which evidences the quality of work-order completion.
