North Texas-Based RobotLAB Expands to Houston as Part of National Expansion Inititative

Positioning itself to be "the car dealership of robotics," Southlake-based RobotLAB said U.S. Army veteran local business leader Keith Edwards will head up its new Houston location. The company says it has other locations in the pipeline in Colorado, Florida, Nevada, Tennessee, and Texas.

RobotLAB—a Southlake-based company that offers turnkey robotics solutions across various industries, including foodservice, hospitality, banking, education, assisted living, cleaning, delivery, and hospitals—has expanded to Houston.

The robotics integrator said its Houston location will be headed by U.S. Army veteran and local business leader Keith Edwards. The expansion will increase access to automation and operational efficiency solutions like cleaning, delivery, and customer service robots throughout Houston, the company said.

Founded in 2007, RobotLAB announced a nationwide expansion initiative in 2023, and says it has numerous locations in the pipeline in Colorado, Florida, Nevada, Tennessee, and Texas, “underscoring the growing demand for innovative robotic technologies.”

“Houston is a diverse hub comprised of restaurants, hotels, entertainment venues, world-class hospitals, startups and digital tech firms, and RobotLAB’s new Houston location will ensure businesses have local access to robotics solutions that will reduce turnover rates, fill employment gaps, and eliminate operational inefficiencies,” RobotLAB Founder and CEO Elad Inbar said in a statement.

“As a Houston resident, experienced team manager, and honorable servicemember, Keith has an acute understanding of the region and we trust he will make a fantastic partner in introducing business owners to RobotLAB’s vast portfolio of game-changing robotics solutions,” the CEO added.

Edwards brings significant technology and leadership experience to the RobotLAB partnership, the company said. His operations management experience includes a near-decade of service as a Computer Detection System Repairer in the U.S. Army.

The new location will allow Edwards and his team “to seamlessly deliver to Houston-area businesses RobotLAB’s best-in-class services, including sales, tailored programming, onsite integration and repairs,” the company said.

“As autonomous robots become increasingly accessible and dependable, RobotLAB Houston will be uniquely positioned to support the region’s surge of new enterprises in enhancing efficiency, streamlining operations and enabling employees to allocate their time towards more fulfilling and stimulating tasks,” Edwards said in a statement. “Robotics not only improve business operations, but also provide novelty for guests seeking new experiences in a tech-dominated and service-oriented culture, and we’re excited to deliver RobotLAB’s services to Houston’s community of hardworking business owners and employees.”

Local owners will have the opportunity to test the robots in their businesses before fully integrating them. By establishing an expansive, reliable network of robot specialists across the U.S., RobotLAB said it aims “to forge a future where business owners have local access to the world’s most comprehensive robotics portfolio, offering cost-effective and labor-saving solutions for companies in all sectors.”

RobotLAB said its suite of solutions includes cleaning, delivery, customer service and security robots for businesses of all sizes. Its program offers customers an online learning system to master the robots, accessible standard operating procedures, on-site training and installation and service plans for local repair and other technical needs.

With thousands of current customers and an expanding local presence across the country, the company says it’s positioning itself to be “the car dealership of robotics” with the ability to sell, service, repair and offer consumables in one local suite accessible to all major U.S. urban centers and commerce hubs.
