Dedicated to advancing medical innovation for 86 years, the foundation said philanthropist and "Texan by choice" Nicole Sheridan is one of the 11 new members of its board of trustees. Jere Thompson, Jr. will continue in his role as board chair.

Southwestern Medical Foundation has announced 11 new members to its board of trustees, including philanthropist and “Texan by choice” Nicole Sheridan, the former model and actress who is married to “Yellowstone” co-creator Taylor Sheridan.

Active with her husband in their ownership of the historic 6666 Ranch in Guthrie, Texas, Sheridan is also vice president of The Run For A Million and serves on the boards of Saving Hope, the National Cowgirl Museum, and the Cowboy Artists of America. She also volunteers regularly at an assisted living home, offering time, care, and connection to its residents, the foundation said.

Joining Sheridan as new foundation trustees are Kasim Alfalahi, Joe O’Brien, Jim Burke, Mona Carlton, Amanda George, Michelle Lobel, R. Kent McGaughy Jr., Adriana Perales, Karen Pollock, and John Poston.

“We’re proud to welcome 11 new trustees who will help guide the foundation’s course in the years ahead,” Michael McMahan, the foundation’s president and CEO, said in a statement. “As innovation continues to thrive in North Texas, their vision and shared sense of purpose will enhance our efforts to support progress that benefits our region and sets new standards in medicine. We’re also grateful to Catherine Rose, chair of the nominating committee, for her thoughtful leadership throughout this process.”

The foundation said Jere Thompson, Jr. will continue in his role as board chair.

Southwestern Medical Foundation has been dedicated to advancing medical innovation for 86 years. The foundation said the new, influential additions to its board of trustees “will continue to work collectively as a united front to advance the foundation’s mission.”
