Meow Wolf Grapevine’s “The Real Unreal” experiential art exhibition is opening on July 14 after years of preparation. To raise awareness—and offer prizes and free tickets—”interdimensional aerobic beings” known as Meow Wolf mall walkers will be popping up around Dallas-Fort Worth today through Monday.

We’ve told you before about Meow Wolf  at Grapevine Mills, which will offer “a journey through a technicolor wonderland that blends storytelling, technology, and immersive art.” Different dimensions of perspective and creativity will be on display through more than 30 rooms of “multidimensional art and compelling narrative.”

For the next few days, the Meow Wolf mall walkers will be playing games and interacting with passersby in downtown Fort Worth, Oak Cliff, Grand Prairie, Dallas’ Klyde Warren Park, and Frisco. They’ll be offering handouts that include the chance to win prizes including swag and free tickets to the “fast-selling” Meow Wolf Grapevine experience.

  • More than 30 local artists are teaming up to help bring a one-of-a-kind experience to Meow Wolf's first permanent installation in Texas this summer. The Sante Fe-based boundary-pushing interactive art company's debut in North Texas will have 30 rooms to feature their unique visions. Here's a sneak peek of the work in progress for the 29,000 square-foot immersive experience, set to transport visitors to a fantastical realm at Grapevine Mills.

  • Meow Wolf says its Grapevine exhibition is "a journey through a technicolor wonderland that blends storytelling, technology, and immersive art." Different dimensions of perspective and creativity will be on display through more than 30 rooms of "multidimensional art and compelling narrative."

  • Slated to be built in Fort Worth's Historic Southside neighborhood, the planned $70 million museum will get the city funding once the balance for the project has been raised. Designed by the New York office of Denmark-based Bjarke Ingels Group, the building will house the museum on its second level, with a business incubator, restaurant, 250-seat amphitheater, and storefronts at ground level. “Literally and figuratively, it was designed to be a beacon of light in an area that has been dark for a very long time,” says Jarred Howard, principal of the project's developer.

  • Entrepreneurs and industry leaders benefit from the city's business-friendly approach.

  • Rhithm, a Dallas social-emotional learning and mental health startup, raised $4 million in a seed round last year for its emoji-based bio-social assessments app, which is now used by over 2,400 schools in 29 states, according to the company. One district that adopted the app is Fort Worth ISD—and it recently announced a change in how the app will be used.
