Mesa, Arizona-based Sun Auto Tire & Service has acquired 33 Caliber Auto Care locations throughout the state of Texas, including 16 in Dallas, building on its investment in Texas, the company announced in June.
Caliber is headquartered in Lewisville.
Sun Auto said the acquisition reinforces its dedication to excellence and its values-centered approach across its rapidly growing national footprint.
“Our decision to acquire the Caliber Auto Care business, and Caliber’s choice to sell to Sun Auto, highlights the mutual respect both companies have for one another. I look forward to welcoming Caliber Auto Care teammates into our Sun Auto family,” Sun Auto CEO Tony Puckett said in a statement.
Sun Auto COO Chris Ripani said the acquisitions are in strategic markets. No financial details were released.
“I have seen first-hand the professionalism and people-first culture at Caliber Auto Care, and I couldn’t be happier to grow our team in these strategic Texas markets,” Ripani said.
The 33 Caliber Auto Care locations are spread across Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio, and complement Sun Auto’s existing footprint in these markets, the company said. Known for its exceptional facilities and customer satisfaction, Caliber Auto Care teammates will fit in seamlessly with Sun Auto, the company said.
