The Kips Bay Decorator Show House is working this year with 22 U.S. designers and architects who will transform a home at 9446 Hathaway Street in Old Preston Hollow’s Sunnybrook Estates neighborhood in Dallas.
The Show House will be open to the public for two weeks beginning November 3.
Aiming to be the nation’s leading design event of the year, the Decorator Show House is a major fundraiser for the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club in New York City, as well as local Dallas charities Dwell with Dignity and The Crystal Charity Ball.
“Each year, we’re continuously impressed by the amount of work and dedication the designers and architects put into the house, and we couldn’t be more excited to see what this group has planned for the space” Daniel Quintero, executive director of the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club, said in a statement.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming the Dallas community into the Show House and continuing to raise critical funds for children in the Bronx and the local Dallas Community,” Quintero added.
Growing far beyond NYC
For 48 years, Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club in New York City has celebrated the best of interior design by transforming a luxury Manhattan home into an elegant exhibition of fine furnishings, art, and technology.
In 2017, the brand was expanded to Palm Beach, Florida, with the sixth iteration of the Kips Bay Palm Beach Decorator Show House in the Winter of 2023.
The success of the Palm Beach Show House allowed Kips Bay to expand its brand again, with the launch of the Decorator Show House in Dallas in the fall of 2020. The Dallas Show House became a one-of-a-kind event in this part of Texas and the country.
Annual Kips Bay President’s Dinner held in Dallas Oct. 5
On October 5, Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club’s hosted its annual President’s Dinner in Dallas to honor Holly Moore, a longtime supporter of its cause as well as Editor in Chief and co-owner of PaperCity Magazine.
Kips Bay said that design industry elites, including Jan Showers, Shelby Wagner, and Claire Emanuelson, gathered at Dallas’ Brook Hollow Golf Club and raised more than $300,000 in one night to fund essential after-school programs to more than 11,000 young people at 10 locations throughout the Bronx.
