Irving-based healthcare technology company Wellfit Technologies has agreed to acquire Launch Loyalty, the dental membership plan business unit of Frisco-based Careington International. Under the agreement, Careington will continue to service Launch Loyalty customers alongside Wellfit.
“Our strengthened partnership with Careington and the integration of Launch Loyalty with Wellfit’s membership plan solution enhances our product offering and service immediately and positions Wellfit as a market leader for membership plans for dental, veterinary, and wellness practices and organizations,” Wellfit CEO Fulton Collins said in a statement. “This collaboration is both a strategic and cultural fit, enabling the two companies to continue working together and to focus on what we each do best. By adding over 1,000 office relationships and several new dental service organizations (DSOs), we are moving fast to expand our market presence and enhance our product offerings.”
“This acquisition demonstrates our bold approach to leveraging one of our core strengths—technology—to drive growth and innovation,” Collins added.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Careington CEO Stewart Sweda said the two companies have had a longstanding relationship.
“Wellfit Technologies has been a trusted partner for many years, and its solution platform, expertise, and company culture are ideal for the evolution and growth of Launch Loyalty,” Sweda said in a statement. “We look forward to continuing our mutually valuable relationship.”
15-year-old program
Wellfit said Launch Loyalty has offered customized membership plans to the dental industry for more than 15 years and has become known as the leader in the market for its levels of customer service and its emphasis on return on relationships. The company said that in coming months, Launch Loyalty will be rebranded as Launch Loyalty, powered by Wellfit.
The company said that Launch Loyalty’s customers will see no changes to their services, including its client relations and support staff.
Wellfit said its advanced, full-service, in-office membership plan solutions help dental practices, DSOs, veterinary practices and health and wellness spa customers attract and retain patients, which boosts their profitability by enhancing the patient experience. Along with its customizable membership plans, Wellfit’s healthcare technology platform provides streamlined financing options and payments processing, driving incremental revenue to the business through improved case acceptance.
Careington International is an established leader in the health and wellness benefit space.
Founded in 1979, it’s a nationally known product aggregator and full-service administrator, and one of the largest privately held discount healthcare companies in the nation. Careington serves more than 30 million members across all four affiliate companies, 12 unique brands and industry-best products and services.
