Industry Veteran Joins Gearlinx as CEO, Executive Director

Matt Ramsay will succeed David McCullough who will remain chairman of the board and continue to focus on technology leadership within the business.

Prosper-based SaaS cloud edge compute innovator Gearlinx announced technology industry veteran Matt Ramsay will join the company as CEO and executive director to accelerate the company’s maturity and launch its products.

Ramsay will succeed David McCullough who will remain chairman of the board and continue to focus on technology leadership within the business.

“This is an exciting time to join Gearlinx,” Ramsay said in a statement. “For the last few years, the team has focused on innovating a next-generation edge compute and a cloud-first platform.

“They approached the problem from the customer’s operational perspective and worked backwards to produce an ‘as a service’ offering. I’m looking forward to transforming the business, expanding the team, and executing on the long-term strategy.”

Ramsay previously worked in leadership roles at McAfee, Centrify, Intel, Secure Computing, and more recently as managing director at Accelerated and VP of engineering at Digi International.

“As we continue to receive positive feedback from existing customers, we have decided to take that next step and tackle the wider market,” McCullough said in a statement. “It was always the plan once we had the core technology in place: we needed to bring on that next level of business acumen.

“This allows me to focus on technology, while Matt can drive strategic direction and maturity and launch our products. He has spent decades with one foot in engineering and the other planted in sales, business development and executive leadership. We need someone to execute and take our technology to market and grow sales, marketing, and operations. We are ready and can’t be more excited to have him join us.”
