The Hispanic IT Executive Council will honor and promote Hispanic technology leadership April 5-7 at a digital transformation summit in North Texas.
The “Dallas Leadership Summit and HITEC 50 Awards Luncheon,” is being hosted by retail giant J.C. Penney, and will be held at its corporate headquarters in Plano.
The council is a global executive leadership organization of senior business and IT executives. The HITEC 50 Awards honor the 50 most-influential and notable Hispanic professionals in the information technology industry in the Americas.

“The core mission of the HITEC 50 program is to highlight and showcase outstanding executives who have excelled in the business of IT, are role models who inspire young people to pursue careers in technology, and motivate professionals to continue to excel and connect with the Hispanic community,” HITEC President Andre Arbelaez said.

The event kicks off April 5 with an exclusive emerging executive program that is limited to mentors and mentees, and then opens that evening with a welcome reception at The Star, the Dallas Cowboys headquarters in Frisco.
Participants will have an opportunity to select from a wide variety of sessions, including an employee resource group session, a corporate board preparation session, and a session on how to develop an online personal brand that engages prospects. Other events include panel discussions, digital innovation, digital transformation, the digital economy, and diversity in information technology. The event concludes with the HITEC 50 Awards luncheon.
The awards luncheon will recognize the 50 most influential and notable Hispanic professionals in the Information Technology industry in Latin America/Ibero-America.
